Who: Vex and YOU
When: Day 13, murder night
What: Playing with his powers
Where: All around
Warnings: Probable violence, though no one will die. Will update as needed.
A. Unkind Intentions
Up until now, Vex has done a good job of playing it cool about being a Mesmer. He's spent all his life around humans; he's good at pretending to be one, well enough. But tonight... oh, tonight, he's just itching to use that power. He isn't one to form bonds easily. Josh seems like someone he might get along with and he's acknowledged that at least, but everyone else is just a meaningless pawn waiting to be toyed with. And that's why he extends an arm toward the nearest person, intent on catching them with his mesmer powers, addressing them with a smug smirk.
"Going somewhere?"
B. Self Defense
It is, of course, possible that one of those meaningless pawns might have some malicious intentions for him. He's on alert for it, even if he may not seem like it. In fact, he's awfully calm for someone who's realised other people might be trying to kill him. Cocky, even. The reason for that probably isn't apparent until he raises a hand to stop his attacker in their tracks. You have to admit, being able to completely stop an opponent's motion is a very good defense.
[ooc: Vex's mesmer power is the ability to control another person's body against their will, and in both cases, Vex is starting off by just making them freeze in place. Since I realise that's kind of a godmodey ability, I'm willing to say it might not work 100% all the time here, so you can decide how well you think it's working at any given time. Even if it is working at 100% effectiveness, his opponents retain an ability to talk and make facial expressions. You're also welcome to PM with any questions.
I'll match formatting to whichever you like.]

"O-oh, jeez, I didn't think humans could do this anymore."
It's like that thing Undyne demonstrated to her once, but, well, there weren't human mages anymore. And this didn't seem the same; even her arms seem frozen, but that might just be from the surprise. Who wouldn't lock up?

"How d-did you... You didn't e-e-even kiss me!" But her body keeps turning towards him again, a full circle without her will. His powers don't stop her from trembling, though.

So then the next question is what exactly to do with her. If he's planning on killing her, then where and how? It's so much easier when they already have a weapon on them.

She trails off, because she's never really stopped to think of witty banter or relevant puns. There's got to be something cool and confident sounding, something that would show him that she's not worth the trouble of messing with.

[ooc: I'm pretty sure all that will do is blow bubbles in her face so figured that was a harmless option haha]

[ooc: "Pretty sure" oh boy those are famous last words right there]
A
...Yes. May I continue?
[The courtyard, but he doesn't see a need to say so.
If Vex was expecting him to be scared, he'll be sorely disappointed.]
Re: A
Now why would I want to let you do that?
no subject
Though he could probably still be provoked into responding as desired.]I suppose you wouldn't, would you.
[It's not even a question.
Also, Vex's arms should be getting really, really cold. So cold that if he looks at or touches them, there's ice forming. Slowly. It's a warning.]
[ooc: Empathy powers also in play from here on out, as long as that's okay with you.]
no subject
Crafty bastard. How are you doing that?
[ooc: Good by me!]
no subject
I don't know what you are, but you're not the only one with powers beyond the norm.
[For all that Vex looks... human?... from everything he's heard, anyway - humans don't have powers. It should also be obvious from the horns and tail that Kaltz isn't human.
The fact that he's not being released means that Vex is slowly going to become coated in more and more ice, thicker and thicker, and it's very hard to just brush it off. He could shock Vex with a lot at once - but it's probably easier if he's released of Vex's own will.]
no subject
Fine. I'll let you go, but only if you stop with the ice.
[He's not budging until he has that agreement, for whatever it might be worth, because he doesn't know how much stronger the powers might be if Kaltz can move.
And similarly, he could do more with that power to try to make him stop, but there's nothing saying this person is the one he needs to go after for that reward, and he's starting to think he might want to try for an easier target.]

[The ice stops progressing, and starts melting - just a bit - in the warmer air that still surrounds them. He isn't controlling it anymore - it'll have to go away on its own, and will likely leave Vex's clothes wet where he can't brush it off. But it'll go away as long as he's not given a reason to make it worse.
For example, Vex better release him.]

Let me guess, thawing isn't your specialty.
no subject
I control ice, not heat.
[So, no.]

It may be in both our best interests to not repeat this.
[If he didn't have ice powers that could've gone a lot more dangerously.]
