Alphys wakes up knowing that something's changed. If nothing else, she's waking up in her bed, with no idea how she got there, after a really alarming confrontation by one of the weapon cabinets.

There's some kind of red marks on her hands, ones that don't take grabbing for her glasses to make out: on one hand, there's a red ring all around her pinky finger, just like the one she remembers seeing on her roommate. And on the other hand, literally, there's a hand. A red shape like a thumbs up emote, on the back of her hand.

And most of all... in the time that she flinches away from the sight of those marks on her hands, the whole room seems to get bigger. Or maybe, somehow, she's getting smaller.

Once she ventures from her room, she goes around the whole grounds, going up to almost everyone with the same question:

"H-hey, have you seen Janet?"

She's hoping to ask if those abilities are contagious or something. And maybe get advice how to stop shrinking every time something startles her? Just wait until she finds out she can grow wings while shrunk.

Vex gives her a look-over as she goes by. Is it just him, or is she a little bit smaller than the last time he saw her? She hasn't directly asked him that question, and little wonder considering their confrontation the night before, though by now he has no particular interest in hurting her, even if he's less than repentant about it.

He did overhear the question, though. He's not even entirely sure which one Janet is, since they never got around to introducing themselves, but still.

"Someone turn up missing?" He doesn't sound too surprised if that's the case.
