[ Room #2 ]

[ Kayo Sudou look around the room, frowning to herself as she examines it. It is... Very different from her home in Enbizaka. She is not quite sure what to make of it. It's a thing, tho. She'll sigh and take some time to sit on the edge of one of the beds, looking down at a pair of scissors. Otherwise, she is quiet, thinking to herself and reflecting on all she had learned just prior to coming here. ]

[ Courtyard ]

[ While it's not much, it's better than nothing. To sit beneath a tree and to enjoy nature. Maybe she should picnic out here at some point. She hums to herself as she sits there, trying to take in just... Everything that's happened. ]

...I wonder what kinds of trees these even are...

[ Kitchen ]

[ Food won't be a problem today. Kayo has commandeered the kitchen and made a lot of rice and tea, alongside some veggies and some fish. It's a very Japanese-style dish, but she made it for a lot of people. It's a more simple dish, but it was made quickly once she figured out how to work the contraptions in the kitchen. (Don't ask how long it took, there's some tossed and burnt food in the trash.) ]

Haa... At least everyone will be able to eat...

[ Hobby Room ]

[ Finally, Kayo can be found in the hobby room, looking through and sorting a stash of fabric she found. This is her medium, and she's counting aloud, seeming rather pleased to have, well, anything. She's measuring and making sure of what is at her disposal and said fabric probably won't be here after today because she'll store it in her room. ]

[ She sighs. She's long since put her shirt back down, but... she'd hoped SOMEONE around here had to have answers. ]

... But, really? Don't you think it's odd that we all were brought to this place...? They shouldn't have been able to download me into a corpse. That should be physically impossible. U-unless... t-they used some kind of magic. But, magic's not real, right...? That's just... stories and stuff.

And I get the feeling it's important all of us talk to each other. I don't know why. It just... feels important. Sorry... I must be really troublesome...

[ She hangs her head, staring at her feet. What does she do now? ]

...I didn't always look like this. This body... Belonged to a sorceress. She performed a bodyswap spell at my request because I no longer wanted my old body.

[ ...That one covered in burns only she could see and feel. She tightens how he stands, withdrawing a bit with the memory. ]

[ ... She stares, practically balking. Bodyswap? Sorceress? It all sounds too ludicrous to be real, and yet... this woman seems quite serious. She recognizes that sort of posture, it's the same kind of posture she has whenever she thinks about certain... events. ]

I... I see. T-then, if that's the case, do you think maybe they... put me in a corpse...? If there is someone out there that could do what they did to you, then... maybe I could have been brought into a dead body... and it could have been resuscitated. Urgh... just the thought alone scares me a little... that I might be wearing someone else's skin. Someone who mattered to other people, someone I know nothing about...

[ She chews her lip, trailing off. ]

...It's possible. Although, if they were dead, they were not even using the body anymore. And I am not sure who they mattered to as we are the only ones here.

[ It's confusing, indeed... ]

... I get the feeling it must have been someone. They were clearly murdered. Like you said, the clothing I woke up in had a pretty bad patch job on it, and right under that was that injury... and that thing on my finger... I'm not sure what it's related to, just yet, but it feels important, too.

[ She touches her neck for a moment, but then her hands drop to her sides, where she fiddles with that line across her finger. ]

My concern is the one who did it might still be here. Hopefully not, though. If it's just all of us--the people who were abducted... we should be fine. I... hope. All the same, be careful, okay...?

...If they are, I'm not sure who they would be. I think most everyone of us arrived the same way at around the same time.

... That's... a good point. Then... who did this?

[ ... She frowns. This is a big mystery that's only going to BOTHER her. ]

Because it couldn't have been any of us who just arrived. It must have been someone this body knew. Or someone that was around it, anyway. ... Urgh, I hate talking about this person like an object, but... t-they're not using it anymore, so I don't... know what else to do... w-what kind of sick person downloads someone into a corpse?!

Whoever also kidnaps complete strangers and forces them to live together.

... Good point. They're pretty messed up to be bringing us here in the first place. And I really don't even know why they did, other then wanting us to just... meet... which I doubt is all it was. It's never just one small thing, like that. It's probably some scientific study.

[ She's seen them before. She's not stupid. They were conducting them a lot at the time on her ship because of the slowly declining birthrate problem estimated to become a huge issue in the future. ]

I don't suppose anyone in charge would answer me even if I asked about it. They probably don't care enough, or want to reveal that information...
